• Tastes of South East Asia – Love Festival – Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29
  Focused around the beauty of cultural weddings across Southeast Asia, this festival celebrates the region’s art, culture and cuisine. It will also feature a wide range of activities, including authentic Southeast Asian dishes, concerts, wedding fashion shows, and kid-friendly entertainment.
• Arts of the Middle East Fest – Saturday, October 5
  Celebrating the unique traditions, tasty cuisine, rich history, and vibrant music of the Middle East, this festival showcases the beauty of the region.
• Diwali RazzMatazz – Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13
  Join in to celebrate Diwali, a South Asian festival honouring the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness, at this year’s Diwal RazzMatazz. This festival will bring together music and dance, mouthwatering food, and a variety of other items to purchase like jewelry, gifts, and clothing.

Get all your fall favourites from the local food vendors at our many farmers markets across the city. Buying from local food vendors supports sustainability, fosters a healthier community, and helps bring healthy food and tasty treats to your table.

  Stop by the Lions Farmers Market at Celebration Square for fresh fruit, vegetables and baked goods. You can check it out on Wednesdays until October 16, 2024.
• MCLC Lions Farmers Market – every Sunday until October 27
  Looking for a weekend market instead? The Lions Club also runs a market every Sunday at 3 Robert Speck Parkway. Support their fundraising initiatives to strengthen communities, while shopping for seasonal fruits, vegetables, specialty meats and baked goods.
• Port Credit Farmers Market – every Saturday until October 12

Explore hidden gems like a “pro”

Renowned food explorer and writer, Suresh Doss, and Visit Mississauga have set out on an exciting journey to discover hidden food gems across the City in their YouTube series, Next Time You’re Here. In this video series, Doss guides viewers through the unexpected corners of the City with some of the tastiest eats.

For example, it might be surprising to learn that Cawthra Road – one of Mississauga’s longest roads – is home to some of the City’s favourite bites. In episode one, Doss visits a cornerstone of the community, Cawthra Holdings Plaza, which now houses nearly half a dozen take-out spots from delis to middle-eastern markets, ice-cream shops, smoked meat sandwiches and unique vegetarian Vietnamese dishes.

Episode two dives into Mississauga’s Flea Market. Every weekend, hundreds of vendors gather at the Flea Market, bringing together a rich blend of cultures to the local community. The episode highlights the food court, which boasts over a dozen stands offering unique dishes from West Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia. It’s a diverse culinary journey all in one spot!
