Multicultural publication registration

Register your multicultural publication (print newspaper or website) to be considered for advertising from the City of Mississauga as part of the Diverse Communities Promotion Plan.

Through the Diverse Communities Promotion Plan, the City places translated advertisements to communicate and promote select City programs, services and events.

Registration requirements

You can register a publication (print newspaper or website) that targets French or one of the top 10 non-official languages spoken in Mississauga according to the 2021 Canadian Census. These are:

  • Arabic
  • Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese and Chinese N.O.S.)
  • Hindi
  • Polish
  • Punjabi
  • Spanish
  • Tagalog
  • Tamil
  • Urdu
  • Vietnamese

Register your publication

What happens next

Once registered, your publication (print newspaper or website) will be considered to be included in a randomly assigned annual advertising cycle. Registering does not guarantee that an advertisement will be placed in your publication.

Every four years, to coincide with the City’s term of Council, you will be asked to validate your publication’s information or re-register for the program.
