It’s not every weekend DJ Jazzy Jeff performs on Mississauga Celebration Square but lucky for Square visitors, it’s happening next Saturday, making the Square a summer bucket list destination that can’t be missed this Labour Day long weekend.
The third annual SoundBites festival and AwesTRUCK Food Truck Awards starts at 5 p.m. with live preshow entertainment hosted by InSauga. The food truck awards will be presented throughout the night by event hosts James Cunningham, of Food Network Canada’s Eat St. and Ross Hull, Weekend Meteorologist, Global News Toronto.
More than 30,000 visitors are expected to follow their noses to the tasty food truck eats on the Square. The best food truck creations from all over the country are voted on by the public and awarded throughout the night as part of the AwesTRUCK Food Truck Awards.
In addition to the awards and more than 25 gourmet food trucks, there is also a spectacular free concert featuring the one and only DJ Jazzy Jeff starting at 10 p.m.
Not ready for the evening to end? No problem. Weather permitting; the event will close with a spectacular fireworks finale starting at 11 p.m.
