Summer is Here on Mississauga Celebration Square

Mississauga Celebration Square is the place to be this summer. With a non-stop lineup of free, fun, outdoor City and community events and activities showcasing the arts, cultural diversity and entertainment, the square features something for residents and visitors of all ages. Plan your visit because your summer is here and it all starts now.

Festivals All Summer!

From dancing, music and delicious food from around the world, join us every weekend for community festivals.

Summer Kick-off Pep Rally

Monday, May 19
Noon to 8 p.m.

Grab your beads, boas and dancing shoes and head to Mississauga Celebration Square for a Mardi Gras Pep Rally to kick off the summer season. Let the good times roll with the bombastic sounds of New Orleans favourites, the Stooges Brass Band. There will be dancers, drumlines and gourmet food trucks serving up the very best in curbside cuisine. Visitors will also see the City’s new brand for the first time around the square and on the screens.

Fresh Air Fitness Classes

Wednesday evenings
May 21 to Aug. 27
7 to 8 p.m.

Interested in adding some exercise into your weekly routine? Join us on the square Wednesday evenings at Fresh Air Fitness! Take your workout outdoors for weekly Zumba, Yoga and Boot Camp classes all summer long. A qualified fitness instructor leads high-energy workouts that tone and strengthen your entire body. No registration or fees required.

Outdoor Movie Nights

Join us Thursday nights all summer for our Outdoor Movie Nights. Each week, the square will air a Hollywood blockbuster on the big screen. Enjoy a free movie under the stars. Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair and blanket!

Concert featuring Glenn Morrison

Friday, June 13
8  to 10:30 p.m.

International superstar Glenn Morrison is turning Mississauga Celebration Square into the hottest club this side of Ibiza. His hot hits and cool beats that will have everyone dancing all night long. The show will open with Mississauga’s own drum and DJ duo Apollo’s Greed, and will feature an on site graffiti demo by celebrated painter Skam.

Canada Day at Mississauga Celebration Square

Tuesday, July 1
4 to 10:30 p.m.

On July 1 join Mayor Hazel McCallion and Members of Council at Mississauga Celebration Square for the City’s free Canada Day celebration. The day kicks off at 4 p.m. with an official ceremony followed by live music, entertaining performances, gourmet food trucks, exciting activities for all ages and a stunning fireworks show to end off the evening. With an expected attendance of more than 100,000 residents and visitors, you won’t want to miss Canada Day at Mississauga Celebration Square.

The Mississauga Arts Council’s Open Mic Night features new local musicians each week. Join these talented individuals as they host an intimate evening of original music showcasing some of Mississauga’s hottest talent.
