It was announced in March 2022 the Dundas BRT Mississauga East Project would be funded through Investment in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) by the Federal and Provincial governments, in partnership with the City of Mississauga. This project is estimated to cost approximately $300M.
A construction schedule for the Dundas BRT Mississauga East Project is under development and will be shared when available. Prior to the start construction, design work will continue to build on the approved Transit Project Assessment Process (TPAP). Property acquisition began in 2022. A construction schedule for utility relocations and other early works will be shared when available.
The Dundas BRT is part of a bold, forward-looking transportation plan aimed at creating stronger connections and providing fast, frequent and reliable transit to those in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Region. Building upon the previous Dundas Connects (2018) Study, this work supports the municipal submission to the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program for the implementation of a segment of the Dundas BRT Project in Mississauga from Cooksville to the Etobicoke Creek.
