Stay Cool This Summer at the City’s Many Spray Pads and Pools

With summer temperatures on the way, the City of Mississauga is getting back in the ‘swim’ of things with the opening of its outdoor pools and spray pads. Thirty of the City’s 32 spray pads are open to the public as of Friday, May 20. Spray pads at Brickyard Park and Iceland will be open for the weekend of June 4. All outdoor pools will open for the summer season on Saturday, June 18 (weather permitting). Whether you prefer a quick dip or a deep dive, Mississauga’s spray pads and pools are a great way to keep cool, get outside and enjoy summer in the city – just don’t forget your sunscreen and flip flops!

Spray Pads

Feeling the heat? Residents are free to enjoy the spray pads through to September, weather permitting, but are reminded that the spray pads are unsupervised. Spray pads open daily at 9 a.m. Use the online map to find a spray pad in your neighbourhood

Heading to Celebration Square? Stay cool in the wading pool – open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (until Labour Day) and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. after Labour Day (times will be adjusted as per daylight hours).

Pools

Beat the heat by staying poolside this summer. The City’s indoor pools operate year-round and soon the City’s outdoor pools will open for the summer season.

Indoor Pools

Currently operating on Spring Schedule 

Summer Season
July 2 – September 4

*Indoor pool at Huron Park Recreation Centre is closed for renovation.

Outdoor Pools

Pre-season
June 18 – July 1 (select times only), weather permitting

Regular Season
July 2 – September 4

All indoor pools will be closed for the July 1 holiday. Outdoor pools will be open; however, residents are encouraged to check with their local pool to confirm holiday swim schedules.
