September 18 to 24 is National Forest Week, a dedicated week where Mississauga residents can celebrate the beauty and diversity of the city’s urban forest and natural areas. During the week, the City is hosting a variety of public events about Mississauga’s natural heritage system and actions residents can take to protect, enhance and expand our woodlands and urban forest.

Background:
Mississauga is home to more than 2 million trees on both public and private lands. The City is almost half of the way toward its goal to plant one million new trees by 2032 through its One Million Trees program.
