Adopt a pet

Let Animal Services introduce you to your new best friend! These are some of the pets at our Animal Services Shelter, waiting to be taken home.

How to adopt

If you’re 18 years or older, you can adopt a pet from our Animal Services Shelter. Adopting a pet gives it the security of a permanent home and the care it deserves.

The Animal Services Shelter is open to the public. No appointment is needed for adoption. However, there may be short wait times to view the animals. During this time, please respect social distancing.

All family or household members will need to be reachable by phone at the time of adoption.

What’s included

  • Dogs and cats are spayed/neutered or have reduced spay/neuter fees
  • Dogs and cats receive a first-year licence (at an additional cost)
  • Dogs and cats come with a microchip implant, are dewormed and have received their first set of vaccinations (excluding rabies)
