Mikey Bloom, a Mississauga resident and emerging rapper, is the winner of the 50th Anniversary Anthem Contest initiated by the Mississauga Arts Council, Metalworks Studios and SoundsUnite.
On January 24, 2024, Council recommended that Mikey’s musical tribute to Mississauga be adopted as the City’s official 50th anniversary song. You can listen to the anthem, entitled “Mississauga,” on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music.
