Commemorating our 50th year

The commemorative anniversary design revolves around the concept of a single paper ribbon that depicts the City’s journey over the last 50-years. The spectrum of vibrant ribbon colours represents the diversity of our community.

As the ribbon folds and redirects, it weaves and unifies the many voices and communities in Mississauga, finally folding into the shape of the number 50. We are proud that the design was conceptualized and produced by City of Mississauga staff.

Using the design

The City’s commemorative anniversary identifier may be applied to marketing and communications materials if eligibility criteria is met.
