About the artist

“I see ceramics as inherently a material born of transformation. I utilize this transformative quality to make sculptures, installations and functional objects that blur the line between the familiar and unfamiliar, finding humour and sincerity there. Ceramics’ physicality, mystery and ubiquity throughout human history serve as inspiration to me when creating new work.” – Luke Mohan

Luke Mohan is an artist and ceramicist from Toronto. He is a graduate of NSCAD University with a BFA in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts and a BA in Art History. He lives in Toronto.
