Celebration Square is a popular location to host free outdoor, public events of all sizes with the entire venue capable of accommodating up to 30,000 people. With large open areas and adjacent smaller, intimate spaces, the Square is ideal for outdoor festivals, concerts and more.

Before you start the application process, review the City’s guidelines for events at Celebration Square, Outdoor Events in the Civic District policy and event-planning toolkit for information about requirements, regulations and criteria that all events must meet.

Mississauga Celebration Square’s Large Event Application program is now closed

Thank you to everyone who submitted an application to host a large event at Mississauga Celebration Square for the 2025-26 season. Applications are now under review. Successful applicants will be notified in late December once the evaluation process is complete.

If you missed the opportunity to apply this year, we encourage you to check back in fall 2025 for the next application cycle.

To apply for a small event in October to December 2024, fill out the MCS Small Event Application form and submit it via email to celebration.square@mississauga.ca.

Small events have 1,000 attendees or less and do not require the main stage concert systems. Small events will be considered on a case-by-case basis, based on the availability of City resources. You must apply a minimum of 12 weeks before your event date to be considered.

Before hosting your demonstration, rally, or vigil:

  • Check the events calendar and consider rescheduling based on availability. Multiple events may occur at once on the Square and we expect respectful usage of the shared space
  • Review the Celebration Square restrictions for demonstrations, rallies or vigils

Complete the Demonstration, Rally or Vigil notification form at least one week before your event date.

Vendor and performer opportunities

To become a performer or food vendor, submit your contact information to our email database. We’ll contact you if there’s an opportunity available.
