About the artist

Raised in Panama City, Nadira Narine has a deep interest in her cultural roots. Having lived in Canada for 10 years, she explores objects and memories from her childhood as a means of self-discovery and connection to home. Nadira Narine is an Artist in Residence at the Living Art Centre, completed a 5-year Artist-in-Residence position (Glass) at Harbourfront Centre, 2020 Jurors Choice Award winner for DesignTO, and a finalist for the prestigious 2023 RBC Glass Award.
