Performances for schools

Provide students with an opportunity to visit a professional theatre and experience memorable performances, such as symphonies, concerts, ballets, plays, and more.

Duration and cost

All performances are held in our state-of-the-art theatres and feature talented performers from around the globe. The duration of each show is generally between 50 to 60 minutes and some include a question-and-answer period (unless otherwise noted). We also provide study guides with curriculum-enriching ideas for pre and post-performance activities.

Seats are $10.50 per person. Everyone attending the performance including teachers, students, and parent volunteers requires a seat. For every ten seats purchased, one seat is free.

Renaissance DJ show

Journey through music history with Math Thru Music and a team of high school performers in The Renaissance DJ, a one-of-a-kind interactive theatre production. Learn about the history of music-making, distribution, and development from the phonograph to modern-day technology. The Renaissance Series connects  past to present in this vibrant theatre performance that includes interactivity, culture, and education – with a spin.

Shaun Boothe and The Unauthorized Biography Series

Hope in challenging times is a presentation that speaks directly to topics of mental health – our emotional, psychological, and well-being.

It offers hope, inspiration, and practical tools to stay strong in a world forced to stay inside. It also offers tools to explore and navigate the world inside of us – our feelings, emotions, and untapped reservoirs of strength.

Themes include mental health & well-being practices, resilience, overcoming negative emotions, navigating uncertainty, hope and inspiration, inner strength.

Performances at Living Arts Centre

The Magic School Bus

When the class gets lost on the way to the planetarium, Ms. Frizzle saves the day by blasting into outer space for an epic interplanetary field trip!  But when rivalries both old and new threaten to tear the students apart, our young heroes must learn to pull together or risk getting forever lost in the solar system.

Hop on the Magic School Bus for a ride in this new musical adaptation based on the original book series published by Scholastic.

The Pack Drumline, from Chicago, Illinois, is a dynamic and talented group of percussionists and dancers who have become a force to be reckoned with in the Entertainment Industry.

They are known for their high energetic performances and fun crowd engagement. Their performances are a feast for the senses, combining music, dance, and jaw-dropping stunts to create a truly immersive experience.

All the performers are passionate about sharing their love of drumming and performance with audiences of all ages and their aim is to inspire others to follow in their footsteps and pursue their own creative passions.
