2023 Community Crime Awareness Day

The 2023 Community Crime Awareness Day (CCAD) is an unprecedented cultural experience organized by the Mississauga Chinese Business Association (MCBA), in partnership with the Peel Regional Police.

Marking the 22nd anniversary, CCAD is an event combining information, entertainment, multi-cultural inclusion and friendship to promote a positive, safe and supportive environment for people who live and work in Mississauga.

Highlights of this year's event Including:       

  • Food Fair - A large variety of foods and delicacies from different countries will be displayed at the event. This follows our event theme of celebrating multicultural diversity and exchange.
  • Live Band Performances - The highlight of the event is the spectacular live band performances in the evening.  Based on the overwhelming popularity from previous years, the live band performances are returning this year, personalized for both young and young-at-heart audience!
  • Mid-Autumn Festival - 2,000 battery-operated lanterns will be distributed free and lit up throughout the Square at 6:30 pm to usher in the good omens of Mid-Autumn Festival as well as signifying the Thanksgiving of abundant harvest and prosperity.

Various police departments, Mississauga Fire Department, St. John's Ambulance, community and business organizations will participate the event with exhibition booths.

Peel Police tactical repelling and drone demonstrations are the attractions of the event. There are also inflatable ball games, face painting, balloon twisting and other activities for children. 

Performances include multicultural music, singing and dance, traditional Chinese lion and dragon dance, line dance, drum circle, table tennis demonstration and competition, etc. There will hourly lucky draw with lot of great prizes.  Free admission and lot of giveaways.
