City of Mississauga announces Director of Facilities Planning and Development

Newly appointed Director of Facilities Planning and Development, Anna Cascioli brings wealth of experience to the role

The City of Mississauga is pleased to announce Anna Cascioli as the City’s Director of Facilities Planning and Development effective July 25, 2024.

In her new role, Cascioli will report to the Commissioner of Corporate Services and will be responsible for overseeing the City of Mississauga’s building portfolio, including the capital planning, asset management, space planning, accessibility and the capital delivery of new and life-cycle building projects.

With nearly a decade of experience with the City of Mississauga, most recently as the Acting Director in 2023 and as the Senior Manager leading the Capital Design and Construction team, Cascioli’s leadership has been pivotal in the successful completion of several high-profile projects, including the recently-completed Churchill Meadows Community Centre, The Malton Youth Hub – Jonathan Davis Centre and the Hazel McCallion Central Library. Before joining the City, she worked in the private sector as a licensed architect in multiple design firms where she delivered a number of architectural, planning, interior and urban design services to a diverse range of clients in both the private and public sector.

Cascioli holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Toronto and a Master’s Certificate In Municipal Leadership from the Schulich School of Business, York University. She is a registered member of the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) and holds the Member designation from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (MRAIC).  She is also a certified LEED Green Associate BD+C and has earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
