Today at Council, the first, second and third place winners of the 2021-2022 MiWay Student Ambassador Program were announced. Students took part in this virtual program to help promote transit in their community.
“As our city grows and we make progress in our efforts to fight climate change, it’s more important than ever that we actively promote MiWay’s extensive transit network,” said Mayor Bonnie Crombie. “That’s why programs like the Student Ambassador Program are essential to help the next generation learn about the benefits of using public transit and become engaged with their communities at a young age. Congratulations to all the winners who are already making a difference in our City.”

“It’s always encouraging to see how the students continue to find new and creative ways to promote MiWay to their peers,” said Geoff Marinoff, Director, Transit. “Based on student feedback, we continue to update the program and we are already looking forward to launching next year’s program in September.”
