Mississauga has declared a Significant Weather Event effective Wednesday January 25, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.

Due to inclement weather, all scheduled City of Mississauga registered programs and drop in programs as of 4 p.m. are cancelled. Recreation facilities, including fitness centres, Library locations as well as Culture locations will remain open for public access, including rentals.

Any permit holders who wish to cancel their permit may do so by contacting the Customer Service Centre directly at 905-615-4100.

Please contact facilities directly for details in case closures are required due to weather conditions.

Winter operations information

  • With winter maintenance plowing operations underway and continuing overnight, the issuance of temporary parking permits has been suspended. Please keep parked cars off the street so crews can work efficiently as we likely be in residential areas early Thursday morning.
  • With the inclement weather expected to continue, residents should exercise caution when travelling on roads and sidewalks. As well, MiWay may experience delays. Your patience is appreciated throughout your commute.
  • Residents should be advised there will be significant windrows with this event with this amount of accumulation.
