Mississauga’s libraries offer innovative, collaborative areas called Makerspaces where you can get creative and complete projects from start to finish. You can access tools and technology free at any one of these Makerspace locations:

What’s available

Each location has different equipment, so no matter your experience level or interests, are available for you to learn something new. Here are some of the interesting things you will discover: 3D printers, heat presses, laser and vinyl cutters, photo, video, and sound studios, plus sound booths, sewing machines, and a variety of Adobe software. Some things might need a library card, but don’t worry, if you live in Mississauga, you can get one for free!

Meeting new people

Makerspaces aren’t just about the gear. They’re about connecting with like-minded people in creative spaces Book a room or reserve equipment in advance to work on projects solo or with your peers. Anyone can come and create, but if you’re 12 years old or younger, you’ll need to bring your caregiver with you.

These Makerspaces are all about bringing people in Mississauga together to try new things, learn, and have fun testing ideas and making new creations.

If you have questions about any Makerspace equipment, services or programs, call any library location or email maker@mississauga.ca.
