Five ideas to make your Valentine’s Day a little sweeter

Entertainment and activities | February 12, 2024

Mississauga’s very-own Cupid is ready to help make your Valentine’s Day a little sweeter! As the day quickly approaches, we’re here to help make your planning easier so you can impress your Valentine. Shhh…we won’t tell anyone.

Lace up your skates

Get some fresh air at Mississauga Celebration Square and enjoy free outdoor skating, cozy heated patios and sweet treats. Don’t own skates? We’ve got you covered with rentals available on site. Learn more

Go on a book date

Check out a book from the Mississauga Library based only on a brief description rather than the title or author. Unwrap it and meet your (book) date. A great way to introduce yourself to new authors or books. Each book comes with a “rate the date” card to fill out and return with the book. Find your nearest library location.

Dinner for two

We know the key to some hearts is through the stomach! Enjoy a Valentine’s pre-set menu with your date on February 14 at LIVE Restaurant inside Living Arts Centre. Prefer staying in? Grab takeout and support a local restaurant in the community.

Take a romantic stroll

After your delicious meal, invite your loved one(s) out for a trail walk at one of Mississauga’s many parks while getting some steps in. Earn bonus points with your date by taking them out for an evening stroll at dusk to catch the sunset. Find a park near you

Catch a show

The Dreamboats are back to deliver a high-energy performance that will have you dancing to classic pop/rock hits from the 50s and 60s. This quartet is comprised of local Mississauga musicians who enjoy bringing back good old rock ‘n’ roll. Catch them on Saturday, February 16 at the Living Arts Centre. Get tickets

There’s so much to see and do this February 14. Try something different and enjoy your Valentine’s Day, Mississauga!
