Happy birthday, Canada! Make your Canada Day a memorable one in Mississauga

Put on your best red and white, and head over to Celebration Square and the Living Arts Centre to celebrate Canada's 157th birthday in style.

Entertainment and activities | June 25, 2024

Put on your best red and white, and head over to Celebration Square and the Living Arts Centre to celebrate Canada’s 157th birthday (and Mississauga’s 50th anniversary) in style! Enjoy live entertainment that will have you grooving all night long, tasty food to curb your cravings and top off the night with a fireworks finale.

The Camp Canuck Kids Zone is back and bigger than ever this year. The young (and young-at-heart) can enjoy an afternoon of fun, including a 25-foot rock climbing wall, face painting, CBC’s Jeremy and Jazzy live, snapping a photo at Mississauga’s 50th photobooth – plus a variety of live performances on the main stage all afternoon long.

To kick off the evening festivities, a ceremony will include greetings from Mayor Carolyn Parrish, Members of Council and special guests. The City’s new Poet Laureate, Andrea Josic, will make her debut by performing an original poem on the main stage. Event attendees are invited to re-confirm their Canadian Citizenship through a reaffirmation oath reading.

Following the ceremony, a rocking concert will bring you to the main stage, featuring an all-Canadian artist lineup that includes TikTok sensation, Crash Adams, R’n’B powerhouse Lu Kala and the soulful Zeina.
