Out and about in Mississauga this holiday season? You may be wondering where to park. Here’s what you should know before heading out.
To help make holiday shopping and errands more convenient, drivers can park for free in the Port Credit and Clarkson areas until January 15, 2025. All Pay and Display machines are bagged, so you don’t have to do anything except park your vehicle.
Having guests over? Make sure you’re aware of where and when your guests can park.
On Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, on-street parking is allowed beyond the five-hour limit between 8 a.m. and midnight.
Guests staying the night? A temporary parking permit from the City allows you to park on a residential street for longer than the standard five hours and during the prohibited period between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Remember, temporary parking permits are not valid on private property or where prohibited parking signs are posted.
Remember to follow all road signs and parking signs.
When snow plows are out, vehicles parked on the road can prevent crews from being able to safely and efficiently salt and clear roads. Please remove parked vehicles from residential streets when it snows to avoid a parking ticket or towing.
During snow clearing operations, temporary parking permits will not be issued and current ones will be suspended. To find out if temporary parking permits have been cancelled, call 311 or follow @MississaugaSnow on X.
