Hurontario Light Rail Transit Open House & Ward Open Houses

On October 18, the Hurontario Light Rail Transit Project will be featured at an open house event. Project staff and displays will be in the Great Hall to answer questions and share information. A presentation will begin at 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber.

About the Hurontario Light Rail Transit Project

The Hurontario Light Rail Transit (LRT) Project will bring 20 kilometres of fast, reliable, rapid transit to the cities of Mississauga and Brampton along the Hurontario corridor. New, modern light rail vehicles will travel in a dedicated right-of-way and serve 22 stops with connections to GO Transit’s Milton and Lakeshore West rail lines, Mississauga MiWay, Brampton Züm, and the Mississauga Transitway. The Hurontario project is part of Metrolinx’s regional transportation plan to provide residents and businesses in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area with fast, convenient and integrated transit. Metrolinx will be responsible for implementing the project. Metrolinx will work in partnership with the cities of Mississauga and Brampton and other stakeholders to advance work on the project.
