Fill a reusable container with your favourite hot beverage and head out for a walk with the family. Explore some of Mississauga’s scenic parks and trails, like the two-kilometre Lakeview winter walking trail. Consider an outdoor skate at the Port Credit Memorial Park skating trail, or the Woodhurst Heights outdoor rink. In the mood for adventurous – try tobogganing.
Remember to avoid walking, skating, or playing hockey on frozen bodies of water. Deep water and changing temperatures make lakes, ponds, rivers, and creeks unsafe. Keep away from the ice near the shore or riverbank. It may look solid, but it can be uneven, slippery and dangerous. Stay safe!
