Starting in March, the City will be updating the paid parking meters on the streets in downtown Mississauga, Streetsville, Cooksville, Clarkson and Port Credit to align with industry standards and provide better service. The new machines are more user-friendly and require a vehicle licence plate to be entered to process the transaction.

You can pay for on-street parking with coins ($0.25, $1, $2), debit card, major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) and contactless payment options (Apple Pay, Google Pay).

How to use new paid parking meters:

  1. Touch the screen.
  2. Select your payment preference either credit card or coin.
  3. Enter your licence plate and how long you’d like to park for.
  4. Print your receipt and place it on your vehicle dash.

If a paid parking meter is broken, call 311 (905-615-4311 outside City limits) to report it.
