Ready for some FUNgi? New public art unveiling at Burnhamthorpe Community Centre

The community is invited to celebrate the unveiling of a new permanent art piece, Fungi of the Woods by Christine Leu and Alan Webb of LeuWebb Projects, at a free outdoor community event taking place at Burnhamthorpe Community Centre on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

The evening will be filled with an on-site craft station, nature walks, an opening ceremony at the start of the event and an opportunity to meet the artists.

5 p.m. – Ceremony with Ward 3 Councillor Chris Fonseca, dignitaries, artists and special guests
5:30 p.m. – Programming continues, including nature walks and on-site crafts
7 p.m. – Event concludes

Ceremony to take place outdoors at the east entrance (Havenwood Dr. and Gulleden Dr.), across from Jaycee Park.
