Metrolinx will be temporarily closing Renforth Station for essential construction work from Monday, September 23, to Friday, November 1. As a result of this construction, several routes operated by MiWay will be affected.
In addition to Renforth Station, four other Transitway stations located east of Dixie Station—Tahoe, Etobicoke Creek, Spectrum, and Orbitor—will also be temporarily closed. This is due to the inability of buses to exit the Mississauga Transitway at Renforth Station during the construction period. Accordingly, buses will be redirected to exit east of Dixie Station. Routes 107 Malton Express and 109 Meadowvale Express will be detoured to service existing bus stops along Eglinton Avenue, ensuring continued accessibility for commuters. Furthermore, the routes that typically service Renforth Station, including Routes 7, 39, 43, 74, 107, and 109, will be rerouted to service on-street bus stops near the station on Commerce Boulevard and Skymark Avenue.
Due to the closure, Routes 107 Malton Express and 109 Meadowvale Express will exit the transitway east of Dixie Station and will be rerouted to travel along Eglinton Avenue to and from Renforth Station. This adjustment means that there will be no service at Tahoe, Etobicoke Creek, Spectrum, and Orbitor Stations for the duration of the construction at Renforth Station.
Please visit the Service Updates webpage to stay updated on the latest service alerts and ensure you have the most current information regarding detours and bus schedules. Given these changes, we strongly advise all commuters to check for real-time bus arrivals and plan their trips accordingly.
