Have an idea about a new park amenity, library program or sports activity at a community centre? We want to hear from you! The City of Mississauga is creating long-range plans for the next five to 10 years for the City’s Culture, Recreation, Library, Parks, Forestry & Environment and Fire & Emergency Services divisions.
You can now share your thoughts, input and feedback by filling out our online survey. There is also a chance to win a pair of AirPods for participating.
“Mississauga is a vibrant, urban city with a growing population. It’s important that we continue to review and adapt to rapidly changing trends, infrastructure and service delivery needs of residents. This will help us respond to changes in population, participation levels and current operation conditions throughout Community Services offerings,” said Jodi Robillos, Commissioner, Community Services. “We use community feedback along with industry research, benchmarking and other inputs to update the five service area plans. It’s important to understand what those living in our communities see as priorities so we can continue to meet their needs now and in the future.”
Plans will align with Council priorities, address concerns about existing programs and services, and investigate innovative and unique opportunities to enhance them. Over the next few months, City staff will:
