Each year, Mississauga joins cities across the world to recognize and celebrate the environment through Earth Day activities.
This April, learn some ways that you can take action to make our city more sustainable and climate change resilient.

Clothing and Electronics Collection Drive
April 14, 2025 to April 27, 2025
Give your unwanted clothing and electronics a new life and help us reduce waste by dropping them off at select community centres in Mississauga.

Repair Hub
Repair hubs give items that are destined for landfill a second life with help from our volunteer fixers. Not only will you be reducing waste, but you can also learn repair skills from our experts to extend the lifecycle of your products at home.

Spring Parks Clean-Up Event
April 26, 2025 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. for select locations
Celebrate Earth Month by connecting with your community and contributing to a litter-free Mississauga. Clean-up supplies will be provided at each location for those who register.
Registration begins on Wednesday, March 26, 2026.

This exhibit takes a look at how climate change is affecting our community, from rising temperatures and extreme weather events to disruptions in ecosystems and communities.

Discover a new skill connected to a historic pastime. Have you ever wanted to make a mini terrarium? Bring in your own glass bottle or use one of ours to build your very own small Glass Bottle Terrarium. Choose between a variety of mosses, ferns, and moisture loving plants with the guidance of our staff to create a little biome for your home.

Park Clean-Up
Join the thousands of participants across Canada who will volunteer to pick up litter around their community with friends, family and co-workers.
Other ways you can help
- Adopt a park. Make a commitment to help clean up litter in your community by adopting a park.
- Become a Mississauga Nature Steward and help us manage invasive species in natural areas throughout the year.
- Donate seeds for others to enjoy. The Seed Library aims to support local food systems, build seed saving literacy, and promote locally adapted plant genetics.
