Canada Day 2022 at Celebration Square

Catch an incredible lineup of Canadian artists, featuring Canada’s most inspiring breakout artist and 2022 JUNO award winner, JESSIA, co-headlining alongside multi-platinum performer, elijah woods. Hosted by Mississauga’s own Scott Willats, Mariah Amber, and Selena Jasmine. 

Event Schedule 

• 4:00 p.m. - Sauga Sound Stage, featuring local musicians with a diverse mix of disciplines and sounds
• 4:15 p.m. - Official Ceremony with Mayor Bonnie Crombie and Members of Council
• 5:00 p.m. - Junia-T, Mississauga’s own hip hop DJ
• 5:55 p.m. - Qurat Dar, Mississauga’s Youth Poet Laureate
• 6:00 p.m. - TÖME, JUNO award-winning Afro-fusion starlet
• 7:15 p.m. - Zach Zoya, Canadian hip-hop sensation
• 8:15 p.m. - elijah woods, multi-platinum singer and producer
• 9:15 p.m. - JESSIA, 2022’s JUNO award-winning Breakthrough Artist of the Year
• 10:05 p.m. - Fireworks, presented by Tim Hortons

Enjoy an evening full of fun at the Camp Canuck Kid’s Zone! 

• Splash away in the fountain powered by Alectra
• Travel back in time as the amphitheatre is transformed into a retro arcade with giant games and arcade machines
• Snap the perfect photo to remember Canada Day 2022 at the retro photo bus or in front of our glowing heart
• Get an airbrush tattoo in the Great Hall
• Take a selfie with one of the stilt walkers and roaming entertainers

No purchase necessary, but you’ll need to agree to the contest rules and sign the release form to participate. The winner and three friends will be required to provide their full names, contact information, provide government issued photo ID. You’ll also have to correctly answer a sill testing question to claim your prize.

Road Closures Information

Closed: July 1st from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

• Duke of York Boulevard from Burnhamthorpe Road W. to Prince of Wales Drive (one northbound lane to remain open to filter traffic out of Square One at Princess Royal)
• City Centre Drive from Living Arts Drive to Mercer Street
• Close at Mercer (west side of intersection) Additional cones to be placed at closure point
• Princess Royal Drive from Living Arts Drive to Duke of York Boulevard

Closed: July 1st from 7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

• Living Arts Drive from Burnhamthorpe Road W. to Prince of Wales Drive
• Burnhamthorpe Road W. from Confederation Parkway to Hurontario Street
• Kariya Gate from Burnhamthorpe Road W. to City Centre Drive (north-bound lanes only)

Note: Police will use the south-bound lanes to filter out traffic from Square One.

Accessibility

An accessible viewing area will be provided onsite, located on the east side directly in front of the stage. Please enter the site from the east or west gate (City Centre Dr. and Living Arts Dr. or City Centre Dr. and Duke of York).
