An exhibition about home, identity and the art of belonging
The Museums of Mississauga welcomes you to officially launch our new exhibition, Dreamland, funded through the Museums’ BIPOC Community Curator Program.
Curated by Hibah Mian, the project illustrates new ways to understand the passage of one space to another, the move from a home to a house, while learning stories of trauma and transformation. Dreamland looks at BIPOC artists' works and residents in Mississauga to conceptualize the use of public spaces that propose associations between the immigrant or refugee in a western world.
The opening event will feature a unique showcase of BIPOC and locally owned businesses and vendors including Rex's Ice Cream and live music by local DJ Prod by Mrii.
The event is free; however, registration is encouraged and greatly appreciated.
