Invasive Species Awareness Fair

Learn more about how you can help protect Mississauga’s beautiful urban forest and natural areas from the threats posed by invasive species, while enjoying some free activities on-site, including:

  • Garlic Mustard Pull Competition
  • Guided Walks (45 min to 1 hr in length) at: 10:30 am, 11 am, 11:45 am, and 12:15 pm.
  • Native Plant Giveaway
  • Face Painting
  • Popcorn Machine

Goats in the City will be showcasing goat grazing as a form of invasive species management, and there will be baby goats for the public to meet! As a reminder to those who want to meet the baby goats, the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care recommends:

  • Immunocompromised persons and infants under one should avoid touching any animals.
  • Children under five should not come in contact with young ruminants (ex: goats) or their immediate environment.
