New Year's Eve 2024
Join the BIGGEST event of the year to ring in 2024 and kick off Mississauga’s 50th birthday! Fireworks presented by Tim Hortons.
Canadian music legend and Mississauga’s very own, Shawn Desman, headlines the night with his iconic pop tracks. Joined by RnB sensation, Shay Lia, and Afro-beats rising star, Nonso Amadi, the stage will have you grooving along all night!
Be prepared to kickoff Mississauga’s 50th anniversary with a thrill, as you watch two extreme snowmobile shows right in the middle of the Square! In partnership with Barbegazi and VisitMississauga, hearts will race as international freestyle athletes perform spectacular stunts and tricks 40 feet in the air.
There is so much to enjoy before the midnight fireworks finale!
- Skate on Mississauga’s largest outdoor ice rink, open 10am-11pm
- Explore glowing artworks around Celebration Square and Living Arts Centre Park
- Grab a bite from the food trucks, in partnership with Food Truck’N Events, on Duke of York Boulevard
With BIG performers on the stage, BIG stunts, and a BIG fireworks show, Celebration Square is the place to ring in 2024 with 30,000 of your closest friends.
NYE Jr. Yeti Confetti Party
Little ones can celebrate early and make it home in time for bed during this hour of family fun. Bust a move with the Barbegazi Yeti, as he starts the night with a dance party. Prepare to be wowed by a BIG snowmobile stunt show and snowflake confetti countdown!

Road Closures Information

All passengers will be able to ride fare-free on both MiWay and GO Transit services after 7pm on Sunday December 31, 2023.
