Hip-hop legends ring in 2025 at Celebration Square with the biggest NYE block party in town. Fireworks presented by Tim Hortons.

NYE Jr. — 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Little ones can ring in 2025 and still make bedtime with this jam-packed hour of family-friendly hip-hop fun. Maestro Fresh Wes brings his kid-friendly album, Young Maestro, to the main stage for an unforgettable live show. Then shout, “Happy New Year!”, under a shower of confetti at 9:00 p.m.!

Main Stage

Things shift into high gear as DijahSB brings their own brand of smooth synth loops, booming bass claps, and quick-witted rhymes to the main stage. Then the night’s co-headliners take over, turning the Square into Mississauga’s biggest block party. Coming off Emmy and Peabody wins as host of Hip-Hop Evolution on HBO and Netflix, Shad, will have you grooving with his unmatched lyricism and good vibes. That’s when rising rapper and Mississauga’s own, AR Paisley, brings his raw energy and explosive flow that’s currently taking over the South-Asian hip-hop scene.

All four artists come together for an unforgettable finale performance, celebrating the history of hip-hop in the GTA.

DJ Andre 905 will be spinning all night long alongside hosts, Mariah Amber and Rebecca Tandon.

With tasty food trucks, special Square One giveaways, skating on the City’s largest outdoor rink (weather dependent), fireworks presented by Tim Hortons, and so much more, the Square is the best spot to kick-off 2025!

Parking and road closure information

Please be advised of road closures in effect on December 31, 2024 to January 1, 2025, ranging from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Underground parking at the Civic Centre and the Library will close at 5 p.m. With limited access to available parking downtown, attendees are encouraged to carpool, walk or take MiWay. MiWay will offer free service on New Year’s Eve starting at 7 p.m. on December 31, 2024 until 4 a.m. on January 1, 2025. View bus schedules.

Limited public and accessible parking is available in the Living Arts Centre underground lot.

Road closures

There will be road closures in Mississauga’s downtown core starting at 7 p.m. on December 31, 2024 until 1 a.m. on January 1, 2025. Areas impacted by these closures are provided above.

Accessibility

An accessible viewing area will be available for the stage performances at Celebration Square. Free accessible parking is also available in the Living Arts Centre underground parking lot. For more information on accessibility at this event, contact 311 or if outside city limits 905-615-4311.

Accessible mobility device charging stations are available at Celebration Square. One can be found directly in front of the Amphitheatre and the other in Legends Row, located on the west side of the Square. Additionally, an accessible viewing area will be available for the show onsite.
