Rooms and features

Meadowvale Library has many rooms designed and dedicated to support visitors with different interests, passions and needs. With spaces for adults, children and youth, there are opportunities for learning and engagement throughout the library for all.

Technology and resources

Access technology and resources available at Meadowvale Library to support your needs and interests, and easily return your borrowed library materials at your convenience.

You can return borrowed library materials at any time using our self-return drop box located outside the library. There is one located by the Meadowvale Community Centre entrance and another one by the library’s entrance.

Items returned outside of regular operating hours will be processed on the next business day.

Accessible public computers

All our computers are equipped with large-print keyboards and ZoomText readers that enlarge, enhance and read aloud everything on the screen.

Assistive workstation

At our assistive workstation you’ll find:

  • Noise-cancelling headset and microphone
  • Accessible mouse and keyboard
  • Scanner
  • Screen-reading software
  • Speech recognition software
  • ZoomText magnifier
  • Public workstation software

Computers are available on a drop-in basis, but you can also use your library card to book a computer.

Meadowvale Library offers print, scan and photocopy services. You can print your documents using a library computer or your own device and can pay for the service using your Library Print Account.

Available spaces

Explore, relax, learn and have fun in the specialized rooms and spaces.

In this space, there are:

  • Sitting areas for reading and playing
  • Games and puzzles for entertainment and learning
  • Computers available on a first-come, first-serve, drop-in basis

Study or lounge around at our outdoor reading terrace open from May through October. Our outdoor reading terrace has seats with umbrellas that provide shade from the sun.

Drop-ins are welcome and you don’t need a library card to access this space. Seats are available on first-come, first-served basis.

Meadowvale Library has one private study room that can accommodate up to four people.

All meeting rooms are booked through Active Mississauga.

If you need help with booking a meeting room, contact library staff.

There are 20 carrels (small cubicles) in Meadowvale Library’s quiet study room.

The cubicles are available on a first-come, first-served, drop-in basis. Each cubicle has a power outlet.

Browse and find your next read from our Youth Fiction collection located in the youth room. Our youth room has tables that you can work or study at or sit down to read.

Drop-ins are welcome and you don’t need a library card to access the youth room.
