Senior $1 fare per trip will be available all day

Starting May 1, 2023, Seniors ages 65 and older can ride MiWay for $1 per trip within the two-hour transfer window, no matter when they choose to travel. Seniors can pay their $1 fare with exact cash or a PRESTO card.

This update is part of a one-year pilot program that MiWay is introducing to make transit even more affordable for customers.

You can buy a PRESTO card and set it to the Senior fare type at various locations in Mississauga, including Shoppers Drug Mart stores and Mississauga Community Centres.

MiWay will compile and assess the data to evaluate the pilot program and provide a report back to Council for consideration in fall 2023.
