Background

The Planning and Building Department, in co-operation with the Clarkson Village Stakeholders, undertook the Clarkson Village Study.

A modified version of Official Plan Amendment No. 9 and Zoning By-law 0194-2014 were approved by the Ontario Municipal Board, decision below. The Council adopted Urban Design Guidelines to implement the Lakeshore Road West – Clarkson Village Study are also appended below.

Goals and objectives

The goal of the study was to develop a comprehensive vision for the revitalization of Clarkson Village and to promote, maintain and enhance a vibrant and pedestrian friendly ‘main street’ in Clarkson Village.
