Active projects

The Aquitaine Avenue Road Safety Improvement Pilot Project is an Integrated Road Project. It will focus on increasing comfort, accessibility and safety for all road users through a traffic calming measure.

The City of Mississauga has initiated a Planning and Preliminary Design study for various road improvements to the Bloor Street corridor from Central Parkway East to Etobicoke Creek as part of an Integrated Road Project. The Bloor Street Road Integrated Project will include pavement rehabilitation, road safety, pedestrian crossings, noise wall, cycling facilities, street-lighting and transit facilities.

The Dundas Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Mississauga East Project is the first segment of the larger Dundas BRT Project, which is currently being studied by Metrolinx. Through the project, the City will aim to deliver median bus lanes with transit stops, traffic lanes and enhanced boulevard with cycle tracks and sidewalks.

Through the Credit River Active Transportation bridge study, the City is aiming to enhance mobility across the river for people walking, rolling and cycling.

The Glen Erin Drive Integrated Road project will aim to improve coordination of City road projects, reduce construction costs and construction nuisance and fatigue for local residents.

The City of Mississauga’s Rapid Transit Program Office is working closely with Metrolinx to bring fast and reliable rapid transit to the cities of Mississauga and Brampton along the Hurontario corridor through the Hurontario Light Rail Transit project.

The Lakeshore Corridor Transportation Improvements project aims to create a more complete and connected Lakeshore Corridor. The project includes three infrastructure projects, through which the City is aiming to enhance mobility across the river for people walking, rolling and cycling.

The Rathburn Road and Ponytrail Drive Integrated Road Project aims to streamline the design and construction of infrastructure projects and improve project collaboration and delivery.
