Slow Streets program

The Slow Streets program is a road safety initiative that helps to reduce speeds on neighbourhood streets using temporary traffic calming devices.

Overview

On Slow Streets, temporary traffic calming devices like barricades, flexible bollards, barrels and signage are installed along the roadway, giving pedestrians and cyclists space to move around, while maintaining physical distancing.

All Slow Streets projects are evaluated for community support before being implemented.
