Background
Considerations for the Southdown District Policies review:
- To provide a mix of employment uses while recognizing existing operations
- Improved urban design in recognition of the District’s location as an entrance to Mississauga and links to the waterfront
- Recognizing the importance of the waterfront parks that are undergoing a master plan exercise (Lakeside Park and park 389)
- Addressing the interface between the residential and employment communities
- Keeping informed on the air quality issues in the area.
