Get involved with maintaining Mississauga’s parks, trails and gardens through various volunteer programs.
Help keep Mississauga parks litter-free by participating in a one-time clean-up event. Participants in this program will be responsible for picking up litter in a designated park, using tools the City provides.

Help upkeep Mississauga parks by participating in a two-year Adopt a Park program. Participants in this program will be responsible for collecting litter in their designated park for a minimum of three times a year.

At the end of a volunteer’s first year with the program, the City will install a park signage in recognition of the volunteer’s commitment and effort.
At the end of the second year, the City will provide the volunteer with a Certificate of Appreciation signed by the Mayor.
Help maintain and beautify flower beds in Mississauga parks by participating in the Adopt a Flower Bed Program. Participants in this program will be responsible for taking care of their designated flower bed and implementing weed control for at least two hours a month from spring to fall.

Help maintain and monitor Mississauga’s network of trails by adopting a trail in your community. Participants of this program will be responsible for visiting their designated trail at least six times a year to collect litter and monitor, identify and report hazards.
