Purchase interment rights

Purchasing interment rights gives you the right to be buried in a designated cemetery space.

Cemetery space is currently available at Erindale Cosmopolitan Cemetery, Streetsville Memorial Cemetery and Streetsville Public Cemetery.

Available lots

Columbarium Niche (1 x 1 feet)

  • Niche space for up to two urns
  • The option to have the niche engraved

Columbarium Niche (1 x 1 feet)

  • Niche space for up to two urns
  • The option to have the niche engraved

Cremated Scattering Garden (Cremated Remains Scattered)

  • Private scattering garden for cremated remains
  • The option to put a memorial plaque on the scattering wall.

There are a variety of burial and interment options you can consider, and we encourage you to contact us to discuss your requirements. You can call us at 311 (905-615-4311 outside City limits).

Fees

The fees for interment rights depend on your needs.

Cancellations

You can cancel your interment rights if:

  • The interment right has not been used
  • All requirements of the Act and By-law are in compliance

To cancel your interment rights, review the Municipal Cemeteries By-law and complete the Cancellation of Interment Rights form.
