Provincial offence tickets are issued for violations under the Highway Traffic Act, Trespass to Property Act and all other provincial acts.
To dispute a provincial offence, you must request a trial and plead not guilty. If you would like to discuss an offence notice without going to trial, you can request an early resolution meeting.
You must pay or dispute your ticket within 30 days from the date the ticket was issued. If you fail to respond, your ticket will be reviewed and you may be convicted.
If you’ve been given a notice of trial or notice of early resolution meeting, you can attend in an online courtroom.
For questions about provincial offence tickets, call the Ontario Court of Justice Provincial Offences Office at 905‑615‑4500.
