Paid extended parking permits

Apply for a permit for extended street parking in a residential, commercial or industrial zone.

Most paid permits are valid for a one-month period. It may take five to 10 business days to issue your permit.

To park on the street for up to five days, apply for a temporary parking permit instead.

Residential parking permits

If you need residential street parking for more than five days, you can apply for a monthly parking permit. The permit can be used for extended visitor stays, driveway repairs and renovations.

Fee

A one-month residential parking permit costs $79.71, including HST.

How to apply

To get a residential street parking permit:

  1. Call 311 (905-615-4311 outside City limits) at least one week before the permit start date. Our customer service team will collect the permit details and create a service request.
  2. Parking Enforcement will contact you within five business days. We may ask for documentation such as proof of address.
  3. Once we approve your request, you can pay the permit fee by debit, Visa, Mastercard or Amex.
  4. You’ll receive your paid permit by email, along with a copy of the receipt.

Commercial parking permits

If your commercial property is undergoing renovations, you can apply for a commercial street parking permit for tenant and contractor vehicles.

Fee

A one-month commercial parking permit costs $212.19, including HST. Additional costs may apply in Downtown Mississauga, Port Credit and Streetsville.

How to apply

To get a commercial property street parking permit:

  1. Call 311 (905-615-4311 outside City limits) at least two weeks before the permit start date. Our customer service team will collect the permit details and create a service request.
  2. Parking Enforcement will contact you within five business days. We may ask for documentation such as proof of address.
  3. Once we approve your request, you can pay the permit fee by debit, Visa, Mastercard or Amex.
  4. You’ll receive your paid permit by email, along with a copy of the receipt.

Industrial parking permits

If your business is in an industrial zone and you need on-street parking for extended hours, you can apply for an industrial parking permit. These permits are valid for one month or one year.

Fees

A one-month industrial parking permit costs $25. A one-year permit costs $250. Costs include HST.

You can apply for an industrial parking permit by email or mail.

Permit suspensions and cancellations

The City may suspend or cancel a parking permit due to weather conditions. To check the status of your permit, call 311 or follow us on social media @MississaugaSnow.
