Electric vehicle charging stations

Electric vehicles (EVs) can be fully or partially (hybrid) electric and are known to be, efficient, durable, less maintenance, and can have a longer lifetime than traditional gas-powered vehicles.

Charging stations are plug-in ports that provide electrical power for electric vehicles. In Ontario there are more than 1,700 charging stations with more than 5,000 charging ports, and more than 400 of these ports are in Mississauga.

The City has installed more public EV charging stations through commitments made in Mississauga’s Climate Change Action Plan and the region-wide Peel Zero Emission Vehicle Strategy.

You can find public EV charging stations in several of the municipal parking lots listed above and in our parking garages.
