Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services is looking for its newest recruits to join a dynamic team who work to protect people, property and the environment in Mississauga. Being a firefighter means more than just fighting fires; in Mississauga they also respond to medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents and other technical rescues.

If you or someone you know is considering a career as a firefighter, now is the time to learn about the recruitment process and what the job entails. Bring your passion and talent to a fulfilling career as a firefighter in Mississauga that includes hands-on training, continuous learning and growth opportunities.

The City is hosting two virtual open house sessions to share information about the benefits of becoming a firefighter in Mississauga and the firefighter hiring process.

The open house will include testimonials from Mississauga firefighters, information on the job application and recruitment process, as well as an opportunity to ask questions. We encourage anyone looking for more information on how to become a firefighter to join one of the virtual open houses listed below:

  • Tuesday, July 12, 2022, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, July 13, 2022, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
