The City of Mississauga (the “City”) is seeking a contemporary artist for a public art residency with the City’s public art program and stormwater projects team. In this role, the artist will raise awareness of stormwater management projects and processes, highlighting how this work addresses climate change, sustainability, regeneration, and connections with nature.
The selected artist will receive an artist fee of $ 20,000 CAD + HST and will be eligible to receive additional stipends (up to an additional $ 20,000 CAD + HST) for living and workspace expenses. The selected artist is expected to dedicate up to 20 hours per week for six months on this project.
This is a two-stage artist selection process. Up to five artists will be shortlisted to participate in a virtual interview.
